6-12 Upper School Announcements:
Monday
- Today, the 10th Grade will have CPR Training in Syke Hall, 6th period-7th period.
Wednesday
- MS/HS ambassadors meeting at MS and HS lunch today
Thursday
- Spring Auction: @ GGCC 5:30pm
Friday
- Students will have a guest speaker after 5th period. Students should leave their backpacks and phones in their 5th period classroom and report to Sykes Hall.
Saturday
- "A Someone Special Valentines Dance"

January Students/Staff of the Month:
Elementary Athlete of the Month: Garrett Washington.
Garrett has played great in the last few games to help the 5th-grade Peewee basketball team secure many victories. His coaches are continuously proud of his efforts and are very pleased with the PeeWee boys’ teams overall.
Middle School Athlete of the Month: Hobson Cox.
As a seventh grader, Hobson contributed to the success of the JV Basketball team this year. The team was undefeated in conference play and runner-up in the district tournament. Hobson’s effort suggests that he will have a bright future ahead in our basketball program.
High School Athlete of the Month: Ty Signa.
Ty Signa has been a crucial member of the Varsity Basketball team this season. Recently, Ty has been named Co-MVP of 4A District II in basketball. As a Senior, he has shown true leadership over the years, and we appreciate his dedication to WS Athletic programs.
Elementary Student of the Month: Ann Latham Vandlandingham.
Ann Latham is always attentive and ready to learn. Most of all, she has been kind and patient with new friends at school.
Middle School Student of the Month: Allen Selby.
Middle School teachers say that Allen is helpful and responsible. He always has a positive attitude, and we enjoy his great personality.
High School Student of the Month: Anna Scott Mithell.
Anna Scott is always willing to help her teachers and classmates and is a great asset to our Upper School Office, serving as a monitor. Overall, Anna Scott works hard in her classes and values continuous learning.
Staff of the Month: Tracy Signa.
Mrs. Signa is always willing to help in all aspects of Washington School. Whether in Athletics or the Upper School Office, Mrs. Signa always gives her all with a positive attitude. The faculty and staff say she is truly loved and appreciated by all.
